Alright, so even though he arrived in the Land of the Remembered with the carvings, and I know it was all part of the movie’s visual style, I still had this cute little headcanon. What if it was tradition for a newly deceased-person’s closest relatives to add the embellishments to their skeleton? I think it’d be pretty cute…
